After being hyped for a few weeks, FarmVille has finally introduced Pig Breeding on our farms!
This feature was slowly being rolled out to players over the last few days, but it has officially been released this evening.
To begin with, of course you will need to place the Pig Pen on your farm. In case you have deleted the Pig Pen, you can go to the FarmVille Market, and purchase one from the Buildings section for Animals. If you already have a Pig Pen on your farm, then you are ready to start breeding immediately! Everyone should receive a free Green Boar to start out with. Constructing a new Pig Pen will also reward you with a free Boar (which you will need for breeding). Also try checking your Facebook News Feed to score free Boars.
When the Pig Pen is initially placed on your farm, it will hold up to 20 pigs. The Pig Pen can also be expanded by adding building materials to it. The final capacity of the Pig Pen goes as far as holding a maximum of 40 Pigs with up to 50 Love Potions. You can have an accumulation of 50 Love Potions that work universally and are shared for usage in your Pig Pen and your two Sheep Pens.

Clicking the “Look Inside” button on your Pig Pen takes you to a new Pig Breeding menu. It also displays all of the Pigs housed inside your Pig Pen.
If you have a Sow and a Boar you are ready to start breeding Piglets. You must first choose a Sow and a Boar to mate. Once you have chosen the two parents, you will be given an option to breed them by giving them Love Potions.
*No Love Potion Time to breed: 24 Hours
*1 Love Potion -Time to breed: 12 Hours
*2 Love Potions-Time to breed: 6 Hours
*3 Love Potions-Time to breed: 3 Hours
*4 Love Potions-Time to breed: 1 Hour
*5 Love Potions-Time to breed: Instant
